Vaccination Requirements
Dogs
Rabies - yearly or every three years
DHPPC (Distemper/Parvo) - yearly
Bordetella (Kennel Cough) - once every 6 months
Cats
Rabies - yearly or every three years
FVRCP - yearly
Feline Leukemia - yearly
All vaccinations must have been administered 7 days prior to check-in. A current copy of your pet's vaccination records must be sent to us prior to the first boarding or day care date, or it must be provided to us at check-in.
You may also fax current shot records to 903-364-1228. Failure to provide written proof of the required vaccinations will result in denial or cancellation of boarding, daycare, or grooming.
All vaccine records must be from a licensed veterinarian.
Age Requirements
Puppies must be at least 16 weeks of age and must have all sets of vaccinations, including DHPPC,
Bordetella, and Rabies.
Spayed/Neutered and other health conditions
All pets in daycare must be spayed or neutered. We will board un-spayed/un-neutered pets, but they will not be allowed to play freely with the other guests. They will be walked and/or allowed to play in an area alone when not kenneled.
Medications can be administered in a pill or ointment form. All medications need to be in the original container, clearly marked, and accompanied by the following information: dogs name, name of medication and strength, dosage per day and whether it has been administered the morning or afternoon of drop off.
Arrival
Your pet must wear a secure collar and be on a leash when they arrive for check-in and when they leave after check-out. We highly recommend they wear ID tags on their collar.
Entrance Examination
All pets will be examined upon entering the retreat. We strongly recommend your pet be on a flea and tick preventative. If fleas or ticks are present on your pet, a treated bath will be given at the owner's expense. If fleas or ticks are detected at check in, refusal by a pet owner to have their dog receive a flea bath will result in denial or cancellation of reservations. Any medical or other problems will be addressed at this time with the owner.
Personal Items
You are welcome to bring blankets, chews, toys and other items you feel comfortable leaving your pet alone with. Additionally, because many pets are sensitive to sudden diet changes, we request you bring your pet's food so that we can avoid unnecessary stress during his/her stay. Please bring food in marked containers or bags.
